TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP AND PERMANENT CUSTODY OF CANINE TO HANDLER Approve the transfer of ownership and permanent custody for retiring Sheriff's Office canine Spike, K-70, to County Sheriff's Office Sergeant Christopher Dowell, serial number #1167, Spike's former handler. Spike has served the Sheriff's Office well. He is now ten years old and has experienced medical issues over the past year. It has been determined that he is no longer up to the demands and rigors of full time duty and can now be retired. Sergeant Dowell will be asked to sign a Canine Program Release and Indemnity Agreement. This item requires a unanimous vote of the Board. (C-50-12-012-M-00)
