16. ACCEPT ARIZONA AUTO THEFT AUTHORITY FUNDING FOR FY2012 LAW ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM AND FY2012 EMERGENCY/DISCRETIONARY GRANT Approve the acceptance of $8,172 in continued grant funding from the Arizona Automobile Theft Authority, FY2012 AATA Law Enforcement Grant and FY2012 Emergency/Discretionary Grant. The term of this funding is July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012. The Sheriff’s Office indirect cost rate for FY2012 is 14.7%. Unrecoverable indirect costs associated with this grant are estimated to be $1,201.28. Approval to accept this funding from the Arizona Automobile Theft Authority will provide the Sheriff’s Office resources for deputies to conduct suppression details in areas that have a high rate of vehicle theft and conduct investigations of organized auto theft syndicates operating within Maricopa County. This award will be used to fund overtime and operating costs. (C-50-12-020-G-00)
