9. AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES WITH THE TOWN OF CAREFREE Approve Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement for Law Enforcement Services between the Town of Carefree and Maricopa County on behalf of the Sheriff's Office to accomplish the following: 1) update the address of the Sheriff's Office in the legal Notices section and 2) add a section to Chain of Command Responsibility for Performance Standards that provides the Town the right to request that any Sheriff's Office staff member be reassigned or otherwise removed from the service. The current contract was entered into on June 20, 2012 and is effective through June 30, 2015 with up to three, one-year automatic renewals. (C-50-12-087-3-01)

14. IGA WITH THE TOWN OF CAREFREE FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES Approve an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) for Law Enforcement Services with the Town of Carefree and Maricopa County on behalf of the Sheriff's Office contracting for .30 beats of service plus a .5 FTE traffic deputy in the not-to-exceed amount of $364,165.17 for the first fiscal year (FY 2018). The term of this agreement is July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2020, followed by up to three, one-year automatic renewals. This contract supersedes the current agreement (C-50-12-087-3-00 and C-50-12-087-3-01) and is terminable without cause upon twelve (12) months written notice or within (90) days of an uncured breach. This contract is managed through Sheriff's District IV. Town of Carefree has contracted with the Sheriff’s Office for many years. The cost for service is updated each year. (C-50-17-096-3-00)
