17. TRANSFER EXPENDITURE AUTHORITY FOR JAIL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (JMS) DISASTER RECOVERY FUNDING Pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17106B, transfer FY 2013 expenditure authority of $299,244 from Non-Departmental (470) Detention Fund (255) Operating (0000) to Sheriff (500) Detention Fund (255) Operating (0000). The amount to be transferred will be deducted from the designated Sheriff Office Contingency line within the appropriated budget for Non-Departmental. This action will allow the Sheriff’s Office to procure a disaster recovery site and services for critical systems including the Jail Management System. The implementation of this contingency plan will support ongoing operation of the criminal justice system in Maricopa County in the event of catastrophic system failures. Approval of this action authorizes the Chief Procurement Officer to approve a disaster recovery services statement of work (SOW) under the original terms of the sole source contract 08117-SS, (C-50-13-006-M-00)
