15. FUNDING FROM THE ARIZONA GAME AND FISH COMMISSION – FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT BOATING SAFETY FUND FY13 Approve the acceptance of up to $362,052.20 in continued funding from the Arizona Game and Fish Commission for Law Enforcement Boating Safety. The term of this funding is July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013. This funding will be used to pay for overtime, purchase equipment, maintenance/repair and/or replacement of watercraft patrol boat(s) to continue effectively patrolling the waterways in Maricopa County. The Sheriff’s indirect cost rate for FY13 is 14.1% ($29,899.36). These funds are the result of A.R.S. § 5-383 and indirect cost recovery is not allowed. There will be capital equipment purchases, valued at $150,000 that is excluded from the indirect cost calculation. (C-50-13-021-G-00)
