13. SOLE SOURCE FOR MAINTENANCE OF EXISTING RECORDS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM Approve a sole source procurement with New World Systems Records Management System (RMS) for the period January 1, 2013 through December 31, 2013. The value of this procurement is $76,020 and it is for system maintenance and application updates. This system was originally purchased by the Sheriff's Office in 2002 and New World Systems (NWS) won the original bid. NWS owns the copyright for the RMS application which cannot be maintained by another vendor. The system is for management of law enforcement records for federal and state compliance and the multi-jurisdictional data base. (C-50-13-024-M-00)
