12. ARIZONA AUTO THEFT AUTHORITY FUNDING FOR THE FY2013 LAW ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM Approve the Agreement and acceptance of $4,000 in continued grant funding from the Arizona Automobile Theft Authority, FY2013 AATA Law Enforcement Grant. The term of this funding is July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013. Approval to accept this funding from the Arizona Automobile Theft Authority will provide the Sheriff’s Office resources for deputies to conduct details in areas that have a high rate of vehicle theft and conduct investigations of organized auto theft syndicates operating within Maricopa County. The award will be used to reimburse operating costs. The Sheriff’s Office indirect cost rate for FY2013 is 14.1%. Unrecoverable indirect costs associated with this grant are estimated to be $564.00. 8. ARIZONA AUTO THEFT AUTHORITY ADDITIONAL GRANT FUNDING FOR THE FY2013 LAW ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM Approve the acceptance of an additional $4,547 in grant funding from the Arizona Automobile Theft Authority and a 90-day extension to the FY2013 AATA Law Enforcement Grant. This will extend the expiration date of this grant from June 30, 2013 to September 30, 2013. The Sheriff’s Office indirect cost rate for FY2013 is 14.1%. Unrecoverable indirect costs associated with this additional grant funding are estimated to be $641.13. Approval to accept this funding from the Arizona Automobile Theft Authority will provide the Sheriff’s Office resources to purchase equipment items for the Bait Vehicles and will be used for operating costs.
