16. AGREEMENT WITH THE ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY FOR THE 2012 HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT PROGRAM, TERRORISM LIAISON OFFICER (TLO) SUSTAINMENT – 999810-02 Approve an Agreement with the Arizona Department of Homeland Security (AZDOHS) for the 2012 Homeland Security Grant Program, Terrorism Liaison Officer (TLO) Sustainment (Project # 999810-02) and acceptance of up to $91,184.00. The term of this award is October 1, 2012 through September 30, 2013. Approval to accept this funding will enable the Sheriff’s Office to purchase body armor, additional communication equipment, recurring communication costs, laptops and training for the TLOs to ensure proficiency in the performance of their mission and increase their capabilities. The program provides immediate intelligence access through the state fusion center and assists with information dissemination and scene management during actual events. The Sheriff’s Office indirect cost rate for FY2013 is 14.1% ($12,856.94). Unrecoverable indirect costs associated with this Agreement are estimated to be $7,005.44. There will be capital equipment purchases which are excluded from the indirect cost calculation. (C-50-13-034-G-00)
