18. IGA FOR MUTUAL PROTECTION WITH FORT MCDOWELL YAVAPAI NATION Approve an Intergovernmental Agreement for mutual protection and assistance between the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation and Maricopa County through the Sheriff’s Office. This Agreement is effective December 1, 2012 and will continue for a period of three (3) years. Each party will cooperate and assist the other when designated law enforcement officers employed by either party requests assistance and when the call does not conflict with the requested officers’ duties. This is a non-financial agreement. Each party is responsible for its own costs and liability. (C-50-13-053-M-00)

16. IGA WITH FORT MCDOWELL YAVAPAI NATION FOR MUTUAL PROTECTION AND ASSISTANCE Approve an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation and Maricopa County for the mutual protection and assistance in law enforcement. This IGA allows for the Sheriff’s Office and the Nation to cooperate and assist each other when requested so long as the request does not conflict with officer’ or deputy’s duties. This is a non-financial Agreement. Each party is responsible for its own costs and liability. The term of this IGA is December 1, 2015 to November 30, 2018. The IGA may be terminated at any time by either party with thirty (30) days written notice. This replaces the current three-year agreement which expires November 30, 2015 (C-50-13-053-M-00).
