19. SUBGRANTEE AGREEMENT-REALLOCATION WITH THE ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY FOR THE 2010 HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT PROGRAM AGREEMENT #777813-07 Approve a Subgrantee Agreement-Reallocation and acceptance of up to $150,000 in grant funding from the Arizona Department of Homeland Security (AZDOHS) for the 2010 Homeland Security Grant Program Agreement #777813-07. The term of this award is February 1, 2013 to May 31, 2013. The Sheriff’s Office indirect cost rate for FY2013 is 14.1% ($21,150). These are capital equipment purchases (920) therefore there are no indirect costs associated with this Agreement. This Agreement and acceptance of funding enables the Sheriff’s Office to continue the upgrade of the current VHF radio system to meet the 2013 FCC broadband guidelines. This upgrade is necessary for Maricopa County to retain its VHF license. The VHF system provides a vital form of communications with other agencies and departments for special events and search and rescue operations as well as multi-jurisdictional enforcement activities.
