9. ONE-TIME ADDITION TO FLEET OF FORKLIFT (JEF) Approve a one-time addition to the fleet of a new forklift with a 5,000 pound lift capacity for use in the jails. This forklift will cost approximately $34,000 and will be funded with Jail Enhancement Funds (214). Annual operating costs are estimated to be $1,500. This forklift is necessary for daily use to transport ice to the Tents and ConTents, to lift overfilled laundry and library carts, and to load and unload heavy items in other detention facilities.
