16. AGREEMENT WITH CHRYSLER GROUP LLC AND TWO TEMPORARY ADDITIONS TO FLEET Approve a Vehicle Agreement with the Chrysler Group LLC and Maricopa County that provides the use of two Chrysler vehicles by the Sheriff's Office primarily for the purpose of recording operational performance. The term of this Agreement begins when all authorized signatures are obtained and continues for approximately 24 months when Chrysler requests return of the vehicles. Also approve the temporary additions to fleet of two 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L 4x4 Crew Cab pick-up trucks. The County is responsible for applicable tax, licensing, and insuring the two vehicles. The Sheriff's Office is responsible for reporting on vehicle performance and for notifying Chrysler within 24 hours of non-routine maintenance activities or parts failure and immediately in the event of an accident. The Vehicles will be serviced by a local Chrysler dealership as instructed by the Vehicles' Owners’ Manual and at Chrysler's expense. Annual fuel expense is anticipated to be $9,500 each to be paid from the Sheriff's General Fund (100). 18. DONATION AND ONE-TIME ADDITIONS TO FLEET Accept the donation from Chrysler Group LLC of two (2) 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 Crew Cab 4X4 trucks and approve corresponding one-time additions to fleet. Each vehicle is currently valued at $22,234 with estimated annual operating costs of $6,200 each to be paid from the General Fund (100). These are one-time additions to fleet and will be removed from the fleet at the end of their useful lives with no funding from the general fund for replacement. These vehicles were initially acquired as temporary additions to fleet to be used as test vehicles for the Chrysler Corporation. The test period has ended and Chrysler has agreed to donate these vehicles to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office. They will be used in Sheriff's Patrol Districts III and IV where they are much needed. (C-50-14-017-M-01)
