20. CONTRACT WITH THOMAS AND MEANS LAW FIRM, L.L.P. FOR SPECIALIZED TRAINING Approve Contract Serial 13058-SS with Thomas and Means Law Firm, L.L.P. for specialized training for the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) in the amount of up to $200,000. This contract is to provide leadership training services to MCSO staff. Training is to focus on leadership and accountability in enforcement of standards. The term of this contract is June 5, 2013 through June 30, 2017. This Contract is in the amount of up to $200,000. (C-50-14-021-3-00)

18. AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT WITH THOMAS AND MEANS LAW FIRM, L.L.P. FOR SPECIALIZED TRAINING (13058-SS) Approve Amendment No. 1 to a Sole Source Contract between Thomas and Means Law Firm, LLP and Maricopa County through the Sheriff’s Office to increase the scope of work. This amendment is effective July 1, 2013. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. Also approve an increase to the value of the contract in a not-to-exceed amount of $200,000 for a total contract amount not-to-exceed $400,000.
