14. EXEMPTIONS FROM MARKINGS FOR UNDERCOVER VEHICLES GOING INTO SERVICE Approve per A.R.S. 38-538.03 exemptions from markings and undercover license plate designations for 38 County Fleet replacement vehicles assigned to the Sheriff's Office for undercover operations. The safety of the deputy and the success of investigative operations requires that these vehicles be exempt from markings. The specific list of the new undercover replacement vehicles is attached. Board approval is required because by law, authorization for exemption from markings is vehicle specific, good for one year, and does not automatically transfer to replacement vehicles.
