17. ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION 2014 - IDEA SECURE CARE GRANT Approve the acceptance of $26,034.64 in continued grant funding from the Arizona Department of Education (ADE), 2014 IDEA Secure Care Grant for the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Jail Education Program. The term of this award is October 1, 2013 through September 30, 2014. The Sheriff’s Office indirect cost rate for FY2014 is 18.4%. Unrecoverable indirect costs associated with this funding are estimated to be $2,138.51. The recoverable indirect cost is estimated to be $1,645.01; there is a cap of 8% on operating costs. ADE considers equipment purchases to be capital and doesn't allow indirect cost recovery on these amounts. (C-50-14-065-G-00)
