13. FEDERAL EQUITABLE SHARING AGREEMENT AND CERTIFICATION Approve the FY 2014-15 Federal Equitable Sharing Agreement and Annual Certification Report between the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (agency) and the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the U.S. Department of Justice. The Certification Report accounts for federal equitable sharing funds received from each of these Federal agencies. The term of this agreement is October 1, 2014 through September 30, 2015. Authorize the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors to sign all documents related to this certification report and agreement. Federal Sharing Agreements are entered into between the Federal Government, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office and the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors. Agreements set forth the requirements for participation in the federal equitable sharing program and the restrictions upon the use of federally forfeited cash, property, proceeds and any interest earned thereon, which are equitably shared with participating agencies (more commonly known as RICO funds). The Federal Annual Certification reports revenue and expenditures through June 30, 2014. Treasury funds are tracked separately from Justice funds. (C-50-15-009-M-00)
