23. COLLABORATION AGREEMENT WITH FRESH START WOMEN'S FOUNDATION Approve acceptance of a collaborative agreement between the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office and Fresh Start Women's Foundation in an effort to provide domestic violence assistance for women who are incarcerated in Maricopa County jails and upon their release. Fresh Start will provide one of its staff members with proper credentials to develop, present and manage a domestic violence program at Estrella Jail which will provide abuse education and support and encourage women to attend programs at the Fresh Start Resource Center upon release. The Sheriff's Office will assign liaisons to interact with the Fresh Start staff and will not be required to perform any duties outside the jail. Evaluation meetings will be held monthly throughout the first year to ensure the program's success. (C-50-15-022-M-00)
