15. ONE-TIME ADDITION TO FLEET FOR INMATE TRANSPORTATION Approve the one-time addition of former Sheriff's vehicle #41303, a 2003 Ford E450 transit bus, to be placed back into service with the Tents Division to be used as a spare vehicle when the primary fleet vehicle is being repaired. Annual operating costs are estimated to be $1,500. This vehicle will be permanently removed from the fleet at the end of its useful life with no funding from the Detention Fund for its replacement. Keeping this vehicle in the Tents Division fleet will allow for more efficient transportation during vehicle maintenance periods and allow for the Chain Gang Detail to complete more jobs.
