16. ONE-TIME ADDITION TO FLEET FOR AVIATION Approve the one-time addition of a 1990 Harlan Aircraft Tug, model number GHTKJ40, to the Sheriff's fleet. The tug, valued at $8,137 has a 4,000 pound pulling force that is powered by a four cylinder Ford engine. This item has been with the Sheriff's Office approximately 8 years and was acquired as a non-military item from the Department of Defense. This item has a long life expectancy and will be disposed of at the end of its useful life with no funding from the General Fund for replacement. Approval of this item will correct an equipment inventory process oversight so that it can be put on a preventive maintenance list and properly serviced. Annual operating costs are anticipated to be $750 per year. (C-50-15-064-M-00)
