15. RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SUBMISSION OF PROJECTS FOR CONSIDERATION IN ARIZONA’S 2016 HIGHWAY SAFETY PLAN Adopt a Resolution approving application and acceptance of up to $541,302 in reimbursable grant funding from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS). This pass through federal funding will be used for overtime and equipment, to accomplish projects relating to all aspects of highway safety. The anticipated term of the funding is October 1, 2015 through September 30, 2016. The Sheriff’s Office indirect cost rate for FY2015 is 15.7%. Unrecoverable indirect costs associated with this grant funding are estimated to be $84,984.41. This grant funding will enable the Sheriff’s Office to enhance programs relating to highway safety, impaired drivers and speed. These grants will fund overtime and equipment in an effort to impact driver impaired (drugs or alcohol) and speed related accidents. The Sheriff’s Office has participated in GOHS grants for approximately 17 years. (C-50-15-077-G-00)
