10. IGA WITH THE CITY OF PHOENIX POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR THE ARIZONA INTERNET CRIMES AGAINST CHILDREN TASK FORCE Approve an Intergovernmental Agreement between the City of Phoenix, through the Phoenix Police Department and the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, through the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors for the Arizona Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC). The Phoenix Police Department is the primary grantee for this Task Force charged with investigating, prosecuting, and deterring Internet crimes against children. The City of Phoenix receives a grant through the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention to fund the Task Force. This non-financial Agreement is effective May 6, 2015 to May 5, 2017, with up to three automatic renewals of two-year periods. It is terminable by either party with a 30-day written notice. The Computer Crimes Unit of the Sheriff's Major Crimes Division is the interfacing group in this IGA. Approval of this agreement formalizes the relationship between the Sheriff's Office and the ICAC Task Force, for which the City of Phoenix is the lead agency. This arrangement allows for training and sharing of resources and criminal information resulting in more arrests. (C-50-15-095-M-00)
