16. FY 2015 BUDGET TRANSFER FROM THE MCSO GENERAL FUND OPERATING BUDGET TO THE MCSO MELENDRES OPERATING BUDGET Pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17106B, approve a budget transfer not-to-exceed $3,000,000 from Sheriff's Office (500) FY 2015 General Fund (100) operating (0000) to Sheriff's Office (500) FY 2015 General Fund (100) Melendres Operating (MEL0). This action will have a County-wide net impact of zero and does not alter the budget constraining the expenditures of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. Approval of this action allows the Sheriff's Office to fund operational cost increases and subsequent funding shortfalls that are attributable to the Melendres Court Order and the Court Appointed Monitor recommendations within its existing resources. The shortfall is due primarily to the addition of 24 positions that were required to meet supervisory specifications, overtime associated with training and report writing requirements, and staffing for the Early Intervention System. The Sheriff's FY 2016 budget recommendation accommodates this transfer in costs. (C-50-15-099-2-00)
