18. IGA WITH THE CITY OF GLENDALE FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT AND SECURITY SERVICES AT UNIVERSITY OF PHOENIX STADIUM Approve the non-financial Intergovernmental Agreement between the City of Glendale and Maricopa County so that the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office can participate in providing law enforcement, security, and traffic management services to the City of Glendale at the University of Phoenix Stadium. The term of this IGA is from the date of signature of both parties through June 30, 2021 and may be renewed for successive additional three year periods upon the consent of both parties. This is a renewal of an agreement that expires June 30, 2018 (C-50-15-100-M-00). Deputies working off duty at the University of Phoenix Stadium will be required to enter into temporary employment contracts with the City Glendale. The City requires each Deputy to also be employees of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) for workers compensation reasons. MCSO acknowledges that command and control for all events worked shall be the duty and responsibility of the Glendale Police Department. (C-50-18-075-3-00)
