24. RESOLUTION AND GRANT AGREEMENT FOR FUNDING FROM THE OVERSIGHT COUNCIL ON DRIVING OR OPERATING UNDER THE INFLUENCE ABATEMENT FOR FY2016 Approve a Resolution and a Grant Agreement authorizing acceptance of up to $50,000 in grant funding from the Oversight Council on Driving or Operating Under The Influence Abatement. Authorizing the Chair to execute the Grant Agreement. Authorizing the Sheriff or his designee to file all financial and related grant reports required by the grantee. This grant program provides funds for two types of programs as authorized by A.R.S. §28-1303. The purpose of the funding awarded is for reimbursement of overtime costs associated with DUI Enforcement. The term of this funding is July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016. Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore, expenditures of these revenues are not prohibited by the budget law. The Sheriff’s Office FY2016 indirect costs rate is 17%. Unrecoverable indirect costs associated with this funding are estimated to be $8,500. This grant award reimburses a maximum of 40% for employer related expenses (ERE)--FICA/Medicare and Retirement. Amounts over this percent are supported by the Sheriff's General Fund. Approval of this Agreement will allow the Sheriff’s Office to conduct DUI Enforcement within Maricopa County. This funding is to reimburse overtime costs associated with DUI enforcement. The Sheriff’s Office has previously participated in this grant program. (C-50-15-109-G-00)
