A-4. ENTERPRISE LICENSE AGREEMENT FOR VMWARE Approve an Enterprise License Agreement (ELA) for VMWare for necessary licensing and support for software utilized for the virtualization of servers. The ELA is for a term of 5 years at a total cost of $1,541,144.76. Also approve the ability to finance this ELA with USBank as per the agreement attached, and subject to the County Attorney’s approval of final documents. Finance costs are estimated at $73,545.24. This ELA will provide the Sheriff's Office with VMWare software and support helping it to effectively manage its data center costs. Virtualization operating system software enables several operating systems and applications to run on fewer physical servers thereby increasing server utilization and reducing hardware requirements.
