14. IGA WITH SALT RIVER PIMA-MARICOPA INDIAN COMMUNITY REGARDING MCSO’S SWORN BASIC TRAINING ACADEMY Approve an Intergovernmental Agreement between Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community on behalf of the Salt River Police Department and Maricopa County by and through the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) regarding the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Sworn Basic Training Academy. This Agreement allows Salt River Police Department recruits to participate in scheduled Sheriff's Sworn Basic Training Academies at a cost of $500 per registrant. The term of this Agreement is June 29, 2015 to June 30, 2018. Salt River Police does not have its own training academy and this Agreement will allow MCSO to provide training space, when available, to Salt River Police recruit officers in MCSO scheduled sworn training academies. Salt River Police Department is responsible for providing worker’s compensation insurance, salary, benefits, weapons, ammunition and uniforms for Salt River Police recruit participants. Salt River Pima will be required pay to a registration cost of $500 per participant to cover materials. (C-50-16-007-M-00)
