18. MID-YEAR GRANT FUND RECONCILIATION FOR THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE FY 2015-2016 Pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17106, approve appropriation adjustment(s) resulting in a net increase to revenue and expenditures of $411,328 in the FY2015-2016 Sheriff (500) Grants Fund (251) Operating (0000) budget. Approval of this item will result in an overall grant funds appropriation of $7,596,313 for revenues and expenditures in the Sheriff’s Office (500) Grants Fund (251) Operating (0000) budget for FY 2015-16. Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore, expenditure of these revenues is not prohibited by the budget law. This request does not alter the budget constraining the expenditures of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. The Sheriff’s Office submits an annual list of grants and grant fund contracts with its budget submission in January or February of the preceding fiscal year. Each fiscal year a mid-year reconciliation and appropriation adjustment is prepared to align planned awards and contracts with actual award and contract amounts.
