19. AGREEMENT WITH LEARNING FOR LIFE Approve a non-financial Agreement between Maricopa County by and through the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office and Learning for Life regarding the MCSO Explorers Post. The Sheriff’s Office has held a leadership role with Explorers for many years. This document would serve as a 10-year blanket agreement that begins with the signing of the Board of Supervisors and ends December 31, 2025. Also delegate authority to the Chairman to sign the Annual Memorandum of Understanding, referred to as Attachment A in the Agreement for the duration of this Agreement. The Annual Memorandum of Understanding serves as Explorer Post annual registration and is issued each year. This Agreement and the Annual Memorandum of Understanding allows the MCSO Explorers Post access to Learning for Life’s education resource program which provides year-round training techniques and methods for selecting quality leaders. 18. RESCIND ACTION AND APPROVE AGREEMENT WITH THE GRAND CANYON COUNCIL OF LEARNING FOR LIFE Rescind and replace the action taken on February 3, 2016 by the Board of Supervisors under C-50-16-059-M-00 as follows: Approve a non-financial Agreement between Maricopa County by and through the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office and The Grand Canyon Council of Learning for Life. This is a 10-year agreement that begins with the signing of the Board of Supervisors and ends December 31, 2025. The Grand Canyon Council of Learning for Life has requested name changes to the original agreement approved by the Board. It was not signed by Learning for Life and is canceled and replaced with this action. Delegation of authority for the Chairman to sign the Annual Memorandum of Understanding, referred to as "Exhibit A" in the Agreement for the duration of the Agreement was authorized in the original agenda item and remains in effect.
