12. AGREEMENT AND GRANT FUNDS FROM ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY FOR REALLOCATION OF THE 2014 HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT PROGRAM FUNDS Approve a Subgrantee Agreement – Reallocation and acceptance of up to $39,200 in grant funding from the Arizona Department of Homeland Security (AZDOHS) for the reallocation of 2014 Homeland Security Grant Program Funds, MCSO Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) Upgrade and Training Project #140805-05. The term of this award is March 1, 2016 through July 31, 2016. These grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore, expenditures of these revenues are not prohibited by the budget law. Sheriff’s Office indirect cost rate for FY2016 is 17% and there are no indirect costs associated with this award because it is a direct cost for capital equipment. Approval of this project will enable the Sheriff’s Office to purchase upgrades for the ROV that are necessary to maintain the current capability and enhance the unit with the new technology available for the system. Without these upgrades the capability will be degraded due to old technology and less skilled operators. (C-50-16-079-G-00)
