12. VEHICLE USE AGREEMENT WITH THE NATIONAL INSURANCE CRIME BUREAU AND TEMPORARY ADDITION TO THE FLEET – HONDA CIVIC Approve the Vehicle Use Agreement between the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) and the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) and a temporary addition to the fleet of a 1995 Honda Civic. The term of this Agreement is through September 28, 2016. This vehicle will be used for a designated purpose in association with the Arizona Automobile Theft Authority (AATA) Law Enforcement Program. Also approve exemptions from markings in accordance with A.R.S. §38-538.03 and the use of undercover plates. This vehicle will not be a take home vehicle and will only be used to conduct suppression details. The estimated annual operating costs of this vehicle are $250 to be supported through the Arizona Auto Theft Authority (AATA) grants. This is a temporary addition to the fleet and the vehicle will either be returned or a new vehicle use agreement will be submitted for approval and there will be no funding from the general fund for its replacement. 25. VEHICLE USE AGREEMENT WITH THE NATIONAL INSURANCE CRIME BUREAU, TEMPORARY ADDITION TO THE FLEET AND EXEMPTIONS FROM MARKINGS Approve the renewal of the Vehicle Use Agreement between the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) and the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) and continuation of the temporary addition to the fleet of the 1995 Honda Civic. The term of this Agreement is through September 28, 2017. This vehicle will be used for a designated purpose in association with the Arizona Automobile Theft Authority (AATA) Law Enforcement Program. This Agreement is renewed annually while MCSO is utilizing the vehicle for its intended purpose. Also approve exemptions from markings in accordance with A.R.S. §38-538.03 and the use of undercover plates. This vehicle will not be a take home vehicle and will only be used to conduct suppression details. The estimated annual operating costs of this vehicle are less than $500 that will be supported through the Arizona Auto Theft Authority (AATA) grants. This is a temporary addition to the fleet and the vehicle will be returned or donated by the Insurance Company to MCSO and there will be no funding from the general fund for its replacement. The Board of Supervisors approved the Vehicle Use Agreement for this vehicle last year on May 24, 2016 (C-50-16-091-M-00). (C-50-16-091-M-01)
