15. MOU WITH THE U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS FOR PAINTED ROCK DAM AREA Approve an Memorandum of Understanding between U.S. Department of the Army Corps of Engineers (COE) and Maricopa County through the Sheriff's Office, for the purpose of establishing a general framework for cooperation and participation among the two Parties in the exercise of their responsibilities to protect and enforce applicable city, municipal, state, and federal health, safety, civil, and criminals laws. The Cooperators will work together --- and with appropriate involvement of the public, city, municipal, and state governments --- to achieve the common goal of protection of life and property within COE area of operations that fall within the boundaries of Maricopa County, Arizona. This Memorandum of Understanding is non-financial and is effective from May 3, 2016 until April 30, 2018 and can be terminated with ten (10) days written notice. (C-50-16-106-3-00)
