11. DONATION OF FIREARM SAFETY KITS FROM NATIONAL SHOOTING SPORTS FOUNDATION, INC. IN ASSOCIATION WITH PROJECT CHILDSAFE Approve acceptance of up to 500 firearm safety kits from the National Shooting Sports Foundation, Inc. in association with its Project ChildSafe program to be distributed by the Sheriff’s Office in the community to established partners. Partners can be individuals, community groups and businesses. Firearm safety kits include a gun lock and safety education brochure. The value of each kit is $2.00. The Sheriff's Office participated in project ChildSafe about ten years ago through its Enforcement Support program and the Sheriff's Community Outreach program will be renewing participation with acceptance of up to 500 firearms safety kits for distribution to the community.
