18. DONATIONS TO SHERIFF'S OFFICE Approve the acceptance of the following donations totaling $3,400 to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office for MCSO Community Outreach Programs related to Domestic Violence: 1) Tony's Cocktail Lounge - $1000, 2) Marino's - $300, 3) 5030 Lounge -$300, 4) The Other Room - $300, 5) Dave's On Northern - $500, 6) Dave and Lori Delos - $1000. Donation funds are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitations, and therefore expenditures of these revenues are not prohibited by the budget law. The approval of this action requested does not alter the budget constraining the expenditures of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. (C-50-17-009-D-00)

15. DONATION FUNDS RETURNED Approve the return of up to $13,400 in funds that were donated to the Sheriff’s Office and designated for Community Outreach. These donations were intended to provide seed money for the implementation of a training program initiated by the previous administration that is not being pursued by the current administration. The Sheriff’s Office has reached out to the donor(s) to let them know and so far, refunds have been requested so they can partner with other law enforcement organizations that are offering this program. The Board of Supervisors approved the acceptance of these donated funds in two separate actions: 1) August 17, 2016 C-50-17-009-D-00--$3,400; and 2) July 20, 2016 C-50-16-116-M-00--$10,000. The funds remain unexpended. Returning these funds has no impact on the General Fund. (C-50-17-104-M-00)
