17. EXEMPTIONS FROM MARKINGS AND ISSUANCE OF UNDERCOVER LICENSE PLATES FOR REPLACEMENT UNDERCOVER VEHICLES GOING INTO SERVICE Approve per A.R.S. §38-538.03 exemptions from markings and undercover license plate designations for five (5) county fleet replacement vehicles assigned for detective use in the Sheriff’s Office Investigations and Intelligence Bureau. Exemption from markings enhances the success of case handling and individual officer safety. Board approval for exemption from markings is vehicle specific, good for one year, and does not automatically transfer to replacement vehicles. These vehicles are replacements for detective vehicles that are being retired due to age, mileage and condition. (C-50-17-034-V-00)
