22. PERMANENT ADDITION TO SHERIFF’S FLEET Approve the permanent addition to fleet of one 3/4 ton cargo van with high roof, valued at $39,164 for the purpose of transporting property and evidence. Funding for this vehicle is General Fund (100), Sheriff's Office (D500), Melendres Non-Recurring appropriation (MEL1). Annual operating and maintenance costs are estimated at $7,900 to be paid out of the General Fund (100). Specific vehicle identification information will be on file with Equipment Services following acquisition of the vehicle. The acquisition of this type of vehicle is necessary to meet Court Monitor recommendations concerning transportation and handling of evidence. This vehicle will have minimal Sheriff markings.
