26. AGREEMENT WITH ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY FOR THE 2016 HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT PROGRAM, MCSO RRT-CBRNE SUSTAINMENT PROJECT Approve a Subgrantee Agreement and acceptance of up to $150,000 in continued grant funding from the Arizona Department of Homeland Security (AZDOHS) for the 2016 Homeland Security Grant Program, MCSO RRT (Rapid Response Team) CBRNE (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) Sustainment Project -160812-03. The term of this award is October 1, 2016 through September 30, 2017. These grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore, expenditures of these revenues are not prohibited by the budget law. The Sheriff’s Office indirect cost rate for FY17 is 19.8%. Unrecoverable indirect costs associated with this Agreement are estimated to be $16,661.70. There will be capital equipment purchased that is excluded from the indirect cost calculation. Approval of this project will enable the Sheriff’s Office to purchase equipment including a specialized canine for the Rapid Response and CBRN Team to enhance their capabilities when responding to High Risk / All-Hazards Events. 16. AMENDMENT TO SUBGRANTEE AGREEMENT FROM THE ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY – PROJECT #160812-03 Approve Amendment #1 to the Subgrantee Agreement from the Arizona Department of Homeland Security, Project #160812-03. This amendment extends the expiration date of the Agreement from September 30, 2017 until December 31, 2017. The original Agreement (C-50-17-048-G-00) was approved by the Board of Supervisors on November 2, 2016 with term of October 1, 2016 through September 30, 2017. This Amendment extends the amount of time available to the project which will enable the Sheriff’s Office to complete the purchase of the approved equipment for the Rapid Response and CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) Team to enhance their capabilities when responding to High Risk / All-Hazards Events.
