11. AGREEMENT WITH U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, DRUG ENFORCEMENT ADMINISTRATION FOR THE DEA TASK FORCE FY2018 Approve the Agreement and acceptance of up to $55,206 in continued overtime reimbursement funding from the U.S. Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration. This agreement shall be for two, one-year terms. The first term will run from October 1, 2017 to September 30, 2018, and the second term will run from October 1, 2018 to September 30, 2019. The agreement may be renewed for four, one-year renewal periods subject to the written agreement of the parties and the availability for federal funding. These revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore, expenditures of these revenues are not prohibited by the budget law. The Sheriff’s Office FY18 indirect cost rate is 19.9%. The unrecoverable indirect costs are estimated to be $10,986. This agreement reimburses 100% of the overtime costs ($55,206) and the employer related expenses (ERE) — FICA/Medicare and Retirement will be supported by the General Fund ($36,679). Approval of this agreement allows for reimbursement of overtime paid to the three deputies assigned to the DEA Task Force. The purpose of the agreement is to enhance disruption of the illicit drug traffic in Maricopa County and the State of Arizona by immobilizing targeted trafficking violators and organizations. The Sheriff’s Office has cooperated with the DEA since 1998. (C-50-18-014-G-00)
