24. SUBGRANTEE AGREEMENT WITH THE ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY FOR THE 2017 HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT PROGRAM, 2017 UASI TLO SUSTAINMENT PROJECT 170811-01 Approve a Subgrantee Agreement and acceptance of up to $70,942 in continued grant funding from the Arizona Department of Homeland Security (AZDOHS) for the 2017 Homeland Security Grant Program, Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) Terrorism Liaison Officer (TLO) Sustainment Project 170811-01. The term of this award is October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2018. These grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore, expenditures of these revenues are not prohibited by the budget law. The Sheriff’s Office indirect cost rate for FY18 is 19.9%. Unrecoverable indirect costs associated with this Agreement are estimated to be $12,585.16. There will be capital equipment purchased that is excluded from the indirect cost calculation. Approval to accept this funding will enable the Sheriff’s Office to sustain the current capabilities, purchase necessary equipment and provide training for the TLO’s to insure proficiency in the performance of their mission and increase their capabilities.
