10. ADDITIONS TO SHERIFF’S FLEET Approve the following additions to fleet: 1) One Ford Cargo Van for Ancillary Services/Central Mailroom estimated to cost $27,048 to be initially funded from Detention Fund (255) savings associated with closing Tent Operations. MCSO recommends that this item be added to the County’s Detention Vehicle Replacement fleet. (Vehicle to be replaced in six fiscal years in FY 2026 with an anticipated cost of $31,000.) 2) One Single Axle Flatbed Trailer for Lower Buckeye Jail estimated to cost $5,144 from the Detention Fund (255), to be initially funded from Detention Fund (255) savings associated with closing Tent Operations. MCSO recommends that this item be and added to the County’s Detention Vehicle Replacement fleet. (Trailer to be replaced in six fiscal years in FY 2026 with an anticipated cost of $6,200.) 3) One Ford Expedition EL 4x4 estimated to cost $71,887 to be used in criminal animal abuse case seizures and in M.A.S.H. operations, to be initially funded from the Sheriff’s Donations Fund (203). MCSO recommends that this item be added to the County’s General Fund Vehicle Replacement fleet. (Vehicle to be replaced in two fiscal years in FY 2022 with an anticipated cost of $79,000.) Because these are replacements, continuing operations costs are estimated to remain unchanged and will continue to be handled within the current Sheriff’s appropriations. Each of these vehicles replaces current one-time additions to fleet and is necessary for continuing day to day operations. Additional information is attached. Specific vehicle information will be available from Equipment Services at the time of acquisition. The costs provided are estimates and subject to change. (C-50-18-043-V-00)
