17. AWARD FROM 100 CLUB OF ARIZONA FOR AIR MONITORING EQUIPMENT Approve acceptance of an award from the 100 Club of Arizona in the amount not to exceed $20,000.00. This award is for the purchase of Air Monitoring Equipment for Clandestine Lab Task Force. The projected purchase timeline is June 27, 2018 through August 27, 2018. Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore, expenditures of these revenues are not prohibited by the budget law. The Sheriff’s Office indirect cost rate for FY19 is 18.3%. Unrecoverable indirect costs associated with this funding are estimated to be $3,660. This purchase will enable the Sheriff’s Office to upgrade outdated equipment. Air monitoring equipment ensures the area where investigators will be working is safe and free of volatile organic compounds, combustible, toxic and oxygen deficient atmospheres. Air monitoring also helps define what level of personal protective equipment will be needed to investigate and dismantle the laboratory. MCSO has not previously received grant funding from the 100 Club of Arizona. (C-50-18-074-G-00)
