13. ONE-TIME ADDITION TO FLEET GOLF CART Approve a one-time addition to fleet of one, gas-powered, street legal, four-seat golf cart to be used by the Sheriff’s Professional Standards Bureau (PSB), with an estimated value of $10,500 plus any make ready costs. This item, plus estimated annual operating costs of $500 are to be paid by the General Fund, Professional Standards Bureau. This vehicle will be retired at the end of its useful life with no funding from the general fund for replacement and is expected to be in service at least ten years. This vehicle will be used to escort and transport employees with temporary physical medical conditions and those working early hours to and from parking garages or lots. It will also be used to transport employees and documents between PSB, MCSO Head Quarters, and Courts; and for patrolling surrounding areas of PSB. Specific vehicle information will be available after the item is procured by Equipment Services. The vehicle that was previously used for these purposes was a one-time addition to fleet that reached end of life in October. (C-50-19-066-V-00)
