11. APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENTS FOR QUEEN CREEK LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICE In accordance with A.R.S. 42-17106(B), authorize the following amendments in revenue and expenditure to the FY 2020 budget: a) Increase the revenue and expenditure appropriation for the Sheriff’s Office (500) General Fund (100) Operating (OPER) by $931,464. b) Direct the Budget Office to increase the FY 2021 revenue and expenditure Sheriff's Office (500) General Fund (100) Operating (OPER) budget baseline by $241,705 for a total of $1,173,169 annualized. c) Increase the revenue and expenditure appropriation for the Sheriff's Office (500) General Fund (100) Non-Recurring (NREC) appropriation by $553,640. Intergovernmental Agreement Revenues are not local revenues for the purposes of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore expenditure of the funds is not prohibited by budget law. These actions will have a County-wide net impact of zero and they do not alter the budget constraining the expenditure of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. 42-17105. On May 22, 2019, the Board of Supervisors approved a new contract with the Town of Queen Creek increasing its service level to 6 full beats; adding a total five sworn deputy positions; one sworn lieutenant position and two sworn sergeant positions (C-50-19-080-03-M). Approval of this action aligns the MCSO’s FY 2020 revenue and expenditure appropriation with the new level of service. (C-50-20-016-2-00)
