19. IGA WITH YAVAPAI COUNTY FOR SWORN TRAINING ACADEMY Approve an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Maricopa County on behalf of the Sheriff’s Office and Yavapai County regarding the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Sworn Basic Training Academy. This Agreement allows Yavapai County deputy recruits to participate in scheduled Sheriff's Sworn Basic Training Academies at a cost of $500 per registrant. The term of this Agreement is September 1, 2019 to June 30, 2021 and it is effective when signed by the parties. This agreement can be terminated at any time with two months written notice. Yavapai County does not have its own training academy and this Agreement will allow MCSO to provide training space, when available, to the Yavapai County's Law Enforcement recruits in MCSO scheduled sworn training academies. Yavapai County is responsible for providing worker’s compensation insurance, salary, benefits, weapons, ammunition and uniforms for its recruit participants. Yavapai County will be required pay to a registration cost of $500 per participant to cover materials. (C-50-20-003-3-00)
