RETURN OF CAPITAL GRANT FUNDS FROM PETSMART CHARITIES, INC., Approve the return of funding in the amount of $374,296.56 to PetSmart Charities, Inc. of undisbursed funds on hand at the end of the grant period, September 30, 2020. This Board approved $2,000,000 in grant funding from PetSmart Charities on 1/16/2019 that was designated as foundational funding to build a new MASH (Maricopa County Sheriff’s Animal Safe Haven) facility which houses animals seized in criminal animal abuse cases. The grant specified benchmarks were not met within the funding period. This action impacts Special Revenue Fund 430, MASH Facility, established in BOS action C-50-20-015-2-00, approved 11/6/2019.
