10. TRADE-IN ITEMS FOR CREDIT ON TWO PURCHASES Approve per MC1-803 of the County Procurement Code the following: 1) The trade-in of five (5) LX4000 soon-to-be surplus polygraph Systems for credit of $2,000 each for a total of $10,000 on the purchase of a replacement polygraph system from the lowest responsible bidder, Lafayette Instrument Company, Inc. The overall benefit to the County for disposal of these items in this manner is expected to exceed the auction value. 2) The trade-in of fifty-three (53) surplus Preliminary Breath Test (PBT) units for credit of $40 each for a total of $2,120 from Lifeloc, Inc. to be credited toward the repair of twenty-three (23) separate units, for which the repair cost has been quoted at $100 each. Disposal of these items in this manner has been authorized by the Grantor (Governors Office of Highway Safety) and the value of this transaction is expected to be exceed the auction value.
