13. IGA WITH ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE (LIVESTOCK) FOR SWORN TRAINING ACADEMY Approve an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Maricopa County on behalf of the Sheriff’s Office and Arizona Department of Agriculture (Livestock) regarding the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Sworn Basic Training Academy. This Agreement allows Arizona Department of Agriculture (Livestock) law Enforcement recruits to participate in scheduled MCSO Sworn Basic Training Academies at a cost of $500 per registrant January 1, 2020 through June 30, 2020 and $750 per registrant beginning July 1, 2020. The term of this Agreement is January 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021 and it is effective when signed by the parties. This agreement can be terminated at any time with two months written notice. Arizona Department of Agriculture (Livestock) does not have its own training academy and this Agreement will allow MCSO to provide training space, when available, to the Department’s Law Enforcement recruits in MCSO scheduled sworn training academies. Arizona Department of Agriculture (Livestock) is responsible for providing worker’s compensation insurance, salary, benefits, weapons, ammunition and uniforms for its recruit participants.
