13. TRANSFER OF RETIRING K-9 - KATO Approve the transfer of ownership of retiring K-9, Kato, #K123, to Deputy Charles Moreland SN1975. Kato is experiencing diminishing abilities and more recently behavioral and clarity issues that limit his ability to safely perform his required duties. Kato will be eight (8) this summer. Deputy Moreland accepts full care and financial responsibility for Kato upon adoption and will be required to sign a Canine Release and Indemnification form.
