9. ADDITIONS TO FLEET Approve nine (9) permanent additions to fleet of white, 2021 1/2 ton Chevy Silverado Crew Cab 4 x 4 SSVs. The total cost per vehicle including tax, warranty, radios and make ready charges is estimated to be $73,091 each for a total of $657,819 to be initially paid from the Sheriff's (D500) General Fund (100) appropriation. These vehicles are currently being sold on local vehicle lots and can be obtained this fiscal year. A County vehicle study was conducted in FY 2020 and the findings indicated a substantial vehicle shortfall for MCSO. MCSO requested 50 vehicles in its FY 2022 General Fund budget submission.
