17.PERMANENT ADDITIONS TO FLEET Approve three (3) permanent additions to fleet of Dodge Durango pursuit vehicles (AWD) that were identified by Equipment Services as being available immediately for purchase locally. The cost is estimated to be $49,800 each and will be absorbed within MCSO’s FY 2022 General Fund budget. The vehicles be added to the County’s vehicle replacement fleet. MCSO has been experiencing a critical shortage of vehicles. The vehicles will be assigned to MCSO patrol districts

17. PERMANENT ADDITIONS TO FLEET Approve three (3) permanent additions to fleet of Dodge Durango pursuit vehicles (AWD) that were identified by Equipment Services as being available immediately for purchase locally. The cost is estimated to be $49,800 each and will be absorbed within MCSO’s FY 2022 General Fund budget. The vehicles be added to the County’s vehicle replacement fleet. MCSO has been experiencing a critical shortage of vehicles. The vehicles will be assigned to MCSO patrol districts to help alleviate an immediate situation recently created by the termination of the Queen Creek contract. Deputies were re-assigned to fill vacancies in other districts without any vehicles. Queen Creek funded vehicles were transferred to the Town. (C-50-22-103-X-00)

VIN’s to be provided at a later date . These vehicles were authorized as permanent additions to fleet for patrol use on agenda C-50-22-103-X-00 approved January 26th by the Board of Supervisors. The color of the new vehicles does not conform to the standard MCSO patrol vehicle color. The three new vehicles will be assigned to investigations and three investigations vehicles will be re-assigned to patrol. There is a vehicle shortage and approval of this action is necessary for MCSO meet operational demands. (C-50-22-103-X-01)
