Approve a Competition Impracticable with CMI, Inc. to purchase Intoxilyzer ® 9000 breath alcohol testing devices, accessories, replacement parts and calibration in the amount of $105,433.06. CMI, Inc, is the sole manufacturer and distributor for Intoxilyzer ® 9000 breath alcohol testing items for l aw enforcement. There are no other vendors or outlets to obtain this proprietary device. Intoxilyzer ® instruments are the accepted device used in litigation regarding the arrest, and prosecution of DUI offenses in Arizona (R13-10-103E). AZ DPS will train MCSO on the use of this device which will be the new standard used in DUI prosecutions. (C-50-22-216-X-00)
